Hi everyone - I have been working on QB for (an Arduino Nano based robot that I hope will be used for STEM education and play) for about a year now. Some members of this forum helped me along the way. Hence this post.
QB is ready for the world now, and he has an Android remote controller, a Blockly programming interface, and an ESP32 Cheap Yellow Display remote controller for children who do not have an Android phone they can use. I believe that the remote controllers (both the Android and the ESP32 CYD) have unique features not seen in any other robot RC (you be the judge).
The STLs for the 3D printed parts - the parts list - the building guide - sample Arduino code, the Android App APK and source code, and the Arduino code and STLs for the ESP32 CYD remote are all available for free download under the GNU General Public License v3.0. This license enables you to use the project without restriction, on the condition that any modifications that you make must also be shared in the same way. However, I am selling kits for those who may want a QB but can’t 3D print or have trouble sourcing the parts.
I’m looking forward to seeing remixes and improvements, and in the future I hope to run workshops for people of all ages…
