Been working on this on and off for a little while: I wanted a drop in WiFi module for my printer as sometimes a Raspberry Pi is just too much/expensive to justify for a printer. This is a small ESP running ESP3D. I have an SD card adapter connected as well so you can directly and quickly upload print files right to the interface (still working on getting this fully working).
First tests seemed like they worked for the most part!
What do you guys think? Is this something that should be manufactured?
I think it’s wonderful for the old reliables that have been around for some time. Newer printers have WiFi built in though.
I would get one for each of my printers!!
Or one could use a whateva, to Wi-Fi converter
O_O very nice your code of esp32 is of arduino ide ?
what mcu is on the main board?
@Americo_Foxnegro_Ren it is arduino compiles, yes
@ekaggrat_singh_kalsi it is an LPC1769 and runs Smoothieware
This is amazing. You SHOULD produce this!
I’m get orenge pi zero for my printers it’s about 10$ and sd card (4$ more) and it’s working fine so can you build it under 10$ ? More will be wast of money
