What is the best size for a filament spool ?

Won’t this depend on your machine / extruder?
I think the “best size” for me is whatever size the filament was shipped on. I’ll adjust my spool holder accordingly.
That said, the larger sizes might be better in that they don’t put as much of a curve in the filament as the smaller spool sizes.
I like smaller spools in that I can use a smaller amount and keep the rest dry here in Florida, but I have managed to foul up a bit of filament while transferring spools
I am planning to laser cut my own filament spool in plywood. Not sure of the best size.
