At the risk of being called a barbarian, I usually work in inches mode. The jpadie grbl 1.1 workspace axes widget has a couple of issues related to working in inches. Justin Adie - Any way I can persuade you to have a look?

Issue 1: Switching between inches/mm does not reliably update the display.

Issue 2: The jog buttons always move in mm regardless of the inches/mm setting.

Feature request: The extension that’s in the tinyg space that lets you type in a number in the axes widget to run a motor to that position is really useful.

Thanks for your consideration!

Just got a machine going using that version of Chilipeppr. I agree but the mm/inch thing also affects TinyG where I reload it when it gets confused but the jpadie grbl 1.1 seems much more confused. I work in mm for my own work and have no problems but with clients it’s almost all inches and that’s when things get confused.

The axis widget is not something I have forked for support purposes. I suspect that the tinyg axis widget might work in the grbl environment.

Have you tried that?

The inches/mm thing is annoying. Reporting sending and displaying of coordinates are all treated differently by different widgets (axis and 3d viewer)
