I have no experience with auto bed leveling (which is the problem here).
But can recommend once this Ares is operational that you print parts for a new printer - you can take the components of Ares and reuse them in the new printer.
My preference is for LeopardQR which you can make smaller.
The lowest printed parts version I made is QR14

It’s been a while since I’ve used the Ares. Back on tonight browsing through the forums and came across this post.
At the top of the hotend there is a sensor connected to the effector. It looks like it needs to be adjusted. Try that first.
The sensor will activate when the tip of the hotend touches the print bed. I guess you could say it is a limit switch.
