Are there currently any slicers that will do 3D contouring of shallow slopes on the outer layer?

Anyone played with anything like this?

no i wish they would make this part of the ironing feature.

It would be a nice option to have, though I find that most models that would benefit from it turn out to do better printing sideways anyway, so that those shallow slopes are on a vertical surface instead of a horizontal one.

if you use adaptive layer with 0.015 (15µm) there is also hardly a need for this.

There was a company that was working on that. They had great demos of 3d printed bases on the print bed, they then covered them with Katon tape and then ran the final part in 3 axis printing. I subscribe to their mailing list but never heard s wied

Darn hit wrong button before finishing… Anyway never heard from them. Later I heard Autodesk bought them up.
