And old friend has had this Lightobjects Cool Master-500 sitting around for years, didn’t know what had gone wrong and gave it to me. Trouble shot it to the water tank thermistor, found it’s a 10K NTC M8 thread thermistor and replaced along with isolating really annoying pump motor chassis vibrations.
So now it works but I have no clue how to set temps on it. The SET button does let me set a temp down to 20C but it won’t stick/stay. What’s the magic sequence? Anyone
Just an idea, did you try a long press on the SET button?
yup and tried long press on the down arrow. I’d found a video, no sound, which shows pressing RST+up then SET+up and getting some codes. I don’t know what it means since there was no sound but it’s an odd setup with docs required for things like F0, F1, F2 etc codes. weird
A friend said the display reminds him of the cw-5000 chiller so he sent me the user manual in PDF.
Will be lookiing into that in the morning.
It does look like the CW-5000 chiller has the same button configuration(RST,SET,up,down) and the programming looks what I saw:
Sections 3 and 4 show Error codes which look right( I’d had an E3 when the temp sensor was showing -17C ) and in section 4 it shows Fn numbers which mapped to a video without sound I saw showing F0 or something like that being used.
I got something working which acts right and it repeats after power cycle. It’ll operate from 21C to 17.9C which is a good window for CO2 tubes.
