Anyone have any experiences/opinions on the Melzi? I can only find it at the eMAKER website and it is currently sold out.
I would really love to not have to replace pololus/step sticks. Hopefully the reason they die is due to the pin/friction connection because i would really not love to have to eventually desolder and replace the tiny allegro chip if the same thing is going to happen with a soldered solution.
I would probably prefer soldering the pololus into a ramps board, does anyone do this?
