Anyone doing double sided engraving? What about cutting images glued onto acrylic?

Anyone doing double sided engraving? What about cutting images glued onto acrylic? How are you doing the alignment?

I have no examples, but for double-sided I either make a jig (typically from poplar), or when it’s cut out of sheet material, ensure the sheet cannot move as I remove the cut items…
Then i carefully flip the item(s)

If I’m doing double sided, I make the front like normal, then for the backs, I’ll lay down a piece of really cheap material like poplar or even just cardboard, tape it in place, and do the cuts. Then lay the real pieces into the holes and engrave. You’ll have a kerf width measure of inaccuracy, but that’s not too bad for my projects.

@CescoAiel does your laser head always return to the same spot? Mine picks wherever its current position for home when it boots

@Jerry_Hartmann mine has limit switches, and the start g-code in LW4 includes an XY homing command…
@Anthony_Fink so you make jigs as well…
