Any tips on how to get the best video results of FastLED-awesome light shows? I am using a good HD video camera but the colors are washed out, the LEDs are all glaringly bright and ooze into each other so it looks like a fast moving blob. Thanks for anything you’ve found to improve your project videos!

Try a ND filter on your camera

Try to enforce an underexposure of the video.
Depending on what you can adjust: shorter exposure time, higher aperture number, lower ISO number
“Blob” sounds like it’s also not fokussed correctly - try manual focus to solve that.

In general, I decrease the brightness of the LEDs, and increase the ambient room lighting. It helps, but it’s not magic.

Cameras really don’t like taking pictures of light sources directly. They much prefer taking pictures of things with light bouncing off of them.
