Phidgets!

I’m in Saskatoon, and I have bought from this guy a few times. http://www.kelinginc.net/

I’m in Quebec and I’m in the process of building a cnc table 4x7 and I order my stuff from Hong Kong for have the price, and duty is nothing…

I’ve bought all my digital drivers, steppers, and assorteds from keling. The stuff just works.

Can you get stuff through Adafruit? Amazon carries that stuff, too.

I’ve had mixed results with alibaba and aliexpress, it depends on the vendor. I like the http://mixshop.ca guys, they’re in downtown toronto, but I don’t know what shipping is like with them (I bike there and pick up). Then there’s http://motiontek.ca. They look good, but I haven’t dealt with them yet.

Mixshop is great for small stuff that the 3d printers use. Shipping was reasonable and they were good to deal with the 3 times I ordered from them.

I love ordering from Aliexpress when you know exactly what your getting. So far every order I have done has been great. I thought about trying steppers and drivers from them but based on my experience I am very wary of what I may end up with. I have seen way to many loud and obnoxious steppers screaming as they move a mill around. It’s absolutely terrible. Kelings digital drivers (and I would assume any digital driver) / stepper combos are very quiet running. I liked them so much in a buddies mill that I have gone that route for my mill and router.
