Any advice on this issue? The print bed seems to jump or skip at around the same exact level. Same file, different levels of shift.
Using a Mod-T, PLA.
If it is the same level look for z-rod height at that point.
something mechnical gets in the way? a cable gets straightened too much at this stage?
Is it that the bed is jumping or that the extrusion head is bumping the object? I ran into that early on and set my Z-Hop to .1 for all of my prints after that. Haven’t had a problem with the head knocking the item since.
I had a Mod-T, the issue is the rods that hold the extruder module that raises and lowers have some play in them (side to side) allowing the nozzle to have some slight (side to side) play also if head retraction is not enabled it can snag on the print and can issues as mentioned by John B. The Mod-T is kinda known for the bed ‘skipping’ if the print gets snagged by the print head. Also the removable print surface can sometime slip out of position causing issues. Try these printable bed retention clips or use some tape. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1399653
