Another what printer thread

Greetings everyone!
Not new to 3d printing, but new to this site.
I currently have a creality cr-10 smart pro, and have had it since around 2022. And, while it has served it’s purpose, I really really don’t love it. Every time I turn it on, something needs to be tinkered with to get it to print properly (use it every couple of weeks). I have been looking at the Bambu Labs X1C, and the Creality K2 plus. I like the idea of the K2 plus being larger, but really don’t want another printer I hate using because I need to mess around with it first. Any other suggestions for something that will be low maintenance ?

Cheers!

My K2 PLUS started off really well. They do produce some great prints.

I have had it a few months now and found a few issues printing using the CFS (I have 2). Cardboard spools can jam up when the filament gets low, sometimes the colour you select is not the colour you get (this is just software).

I dont think you will ever get a printer (Ive been 3D printing for 10+ years) that never needs some attention. The problem usually is the condition of the filament.

K2 plus is quiet and my go to printer. I own 6 printers, all different makes and models.

I havent owned a Bamboo - so I cannot comment on that.

Yeah, Jammy is right.. It’s a machine that makes stuff. Like every machine it requires maintenance and adjustment. I have an Ender3 S1, and I print with it a couple time a week, I rarely have to adjust it or re-level the bed, but I only print PLA on it, and usually grey. My other printer is an older Ender3 that I have inside a heated enclosure. “Finally” I have it working the way I want it to. Every time I use it I check the bed level and clean the build plate… Just cause I do. I mostly print mounting brackets and specialty part the I design in fusion360…
Part of being a maker is being a tinkerer…
