Another strike again 3DStuffmaker.com
Wanted to back up my firmware and was getting the notorious
/avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00/
For which there is a some 7767893245 different causes, though while searching for something unrelated (if I can connected a fan to Gen6, no) I found that 3DStuffmaker do not install the bootloader to their controllers!
Why? Well it turns out they sell a ‘software upgrade kit’ for $95, what to try an rip people off, anyway USBTinyISP ordered from eBay for $9.
So far too many issues with stuff that is by choice of 3DStuffMaker rather than ‘hey it’s a 3DPrinter they’re a bit that way, try it again’
