Printing a 16"x16" base frame? Ridiculous!
Moving Y Bed? Crazy!
At least he shows a few example prints - pretty atrocious IMHO…

I can admire his rep-rap skills but they’re only that. Trying to mass produce something like this seems laughable.

Am I being to harsh?

Check his math ! 8 cubic inches = 222 … “This printer that I have designed will be the first printer to be able to create objects over 8 cubic inches that is under $1000!” If he can’t get that right …

How could anyone believe that those z pillars wouldn’t wobble?

Also, he can’t get a/an usage right.

That’s not necessarily an indication of his technical or business prowess, but it’s not a good sign either. Plus, it drives me nuts.

I do need to question the sanity of a man who uses 8mm-ish rods frameless at a height of 800mm.

I noticed an absence of any samples of large prints. I scaled up a RepRap about 3x and had to brace every corner because of wobble. There’s no way that thing will print above 100mm decently.

he supposedly printed the a 16" base frame on his 24" variant… weird

Is it just me or are his belts really lose in the video, they even have a wave in them
