After watching a guy on YouTube (link to follow) I’ve lost the warm and fuzzy feeling I had with the design of my control unit. This is (while its broken) an ideal opportunity to go bespoke. So a rough sketch of what I’m planning is created. The guy in the vid used a little device called an I-pac, allowing him to assign buttons to keyboard shortcuts. Very cool idea and one that I will be incorporation into my new unit. Unlike him I’ll be having all the electronics (PC and stepper control) in the one box. The idea is to cut down on electrical interference from the plasma cutter during normal operations.
