Nice work

While this is nice, I think that most would agree that they would rather have an assembly mode before what I can only assume is a linear quasi-static solver (hopefully using second order tets). Focus on the reason we need parametric CAD: assembling mechanical structures consisting of multiple parts. Most in CAD solvers are quite laughable, and either don’t produce accurate results, or are exceptionally basic.

@Neal_Grieb I second the need for a good assembly workbench but I also see the big additions like working planes and contained elements. They are very useful as well.

@Neal_Grieb Apparently a complete rework of the Partdesign workbench was needed for the upcoming Assembly system. Still FreeCAD has come a long way and the new Partdesign workbench, Path workbench and Techdraw are great additions to 0.17.
