Abou to order a printrbot simple kit, really exited, need to check shipping details, this is huge step for me. Is there a Mac application to interface? I can star looking around? What else can you tell a beginner?

I got my kit in November and been printing since. I use Repetier Host on a MacBook Pro, and it works great. For sure mount an external fan on the extruder. Read up on Gcode so you can calibrate it and you should be cranking things out in no time. Grab an assortment of filament colors cause it gets boring real quick when printing in one color all the time.

I use Repetier (http://www.repetier.com/) with my +Printrbot Simple on OSX Mavrick and works great.

You can use Repetier with the printer directly attached to your Mac via USB or like I now do where I just use Repetier to produce the gcode file that I upload to a RaspberryPi running @OctoPrint

@Tim_Sills which extruder fan mount did you find fitted best ?

Thanks for the tip on the FAN! For now I am looking on how to ship it to Argentina, without having customs stopping it.

Might want to hold off a short while, they’ve just announced the new metal p-simple, going to cost a bit more, but 6 inch cubed printing area.

@Howard_C_Shaw_III Thanks a lot, 6inch sounds nice, metal plate also, but shipping it to south america its kinda difficult…so, I am thinking if the extra inches are going to impact more the shipping situation.

@Andre_Courchesne1 I rigged something up that holds a 40mm fan near the extruder. I also put one near the circuit board. I run these off from a separate power supply. I’ve seen some extruder fan mounts on thingiverse though.

Just for recolecting more info, what are you guys primting with such primter printrbot simple.
