A shout-out to templatemaker.nl, a great resource for paper box templates

After printing some fidget spinners for my ‘kiddult’ friends; I realised this morning that I had nothing much to wrap them with when I visit them for dinner.

So I fell back to an old favorite and dug through my stock of craft card paper and made a couple of gift boxes from here:

It’s a really nice resource, I’ve cut and folded, sometimes glued, several boxes from there over the years; and they always turn out great.

Everything is customisable; not everything needs glue.

I’m using somewhat scruffy 1/2mm craft card sheet, quite dense, I do a light and fast cut along the fold lines to help assembly.

Oh, and another thing; They produce properly annotated and grouped .svg files! Unlike most of the opposition.

I can import directly into Laserweb, select and delete the logo and text groups leaving just the lines and folds clearly labelled and separately grouped for the scoring or cutting passes. Other sites have left me having to ‘fix’ the svg in inkscape before I import to LW.
