A friends machine broke the drive sprocket on the extruder. It’s one of the 8mm planetary gear drives that come on the MakerGear printers. Could someone suggest a replacement gear with 8mm ID, and a printable extruder that will match the groovemount used? The brutstruder that comes with the MakerGear apparently isn’t compatible with the Trinity or the Arcol drive gears, the inner clearance is apparently too small.
How did he break that… You mean the metal gear it uses to grip filament?
Anyway, I replaced mine because it sucked and used some ancient spring loaded thing I had from a year ago. Can’t find it on thingiverse anymore though, sorry. Will look closer if i get to a real computer sometime this week.
I think it is a gear off SDP-SI.
I got a response from maker gear and we are working on getting it replaced.
