A curved lithophane made in OpenSCAD.

A curved lithophane made in OpenSCAD. In the script below I wrap a png image around a cylinder and use this technique to 3D print a curved lithophane.

A link to the OpenSCAD script: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bP3UlMi-5xeT8RVCArbHAgQkL2GxBr_V

If you want to know how the script works and how I printed the lithophane here is a link to the tutorial: https://youtu.be/PNcGNqMUl5I
EDIT: I changed the link.

@Eric_Buijs Double check you link to the tutorial. You have it going to a editing link, rather than a viewing one.

@Scott_Calkins Thanks, that was sloppy of me.

You might want to invert the colors in the image, this looks like the negative of the image.

@PrintinAddiction Why didn’t I think of that. Thanks very much.

@Eric_Buijs
Here the online litophane:

If you want a quality image, print with the thinnest layer (0.1mmm)
And do not forget to set it to get a positive image.

@Jakab_Gipsz Thanks for the tips I appreciate it. I aware of the online lithophane of 3DP Rocks but what’s the fun in using that. I wanted to do a curved lithophane in OpenSCAD which is more of a challenge.
