4 Thermistors killed in 3 days… ugh… 3 my fault 1 died. I give up…

How did that happen…?

@Paul_Anderson 3 different printers, 2 just gave up, and the other 2 I was too heavy handed with the adjustable spanner (wrench) on the heater block. Unfortunately my adjustable is slightly too small to go lengthways on the E3D heater blocks and I caught the thermistor on the FB2020 on 2 different occasions. The home migbot, I’m not too sure why it broke, I was just sliding a small LED strip at the top of the mount above the heatsink of the hot end, next thing I know I’m getting MINTEMP with a thermistor in 2 pieces. The last one just gave up and was in 2 pieces when I pulled it out, hadn’t been touched in about 5 months, so I’m guessing it was the way it was clamped in…

You adjust the heater block on the thermistor side?

@J_Drake , yes and no, it’s mainly tightening the nozzle down when it’s first heated. I have to clamp it over the screw with the Adjustable spanner as the jaws don’t open wide enough, I need to get a slightly larger one. This can cause problems if it rolls around and catches the leg, hence killing the thermistor and breaking it in 2.
