3D printing: Next Frontier in Regenerative Medicine.
Currently, numerous labs are working on generating 3D printed human tissues and organs. There is no doubt in immense potential of 3D organ printing but it is not as simple as many think. Human body and it’s organs and tissues have evolved to perform those physiological roles. Every cell, tissue and organ is unique in its nature. Humans have evolved with complicated process of organogensis to optimize the physiological role of each organ. Can we replicated same process in our labs? Answer to this question is key to development of 3D organ printing.
